About Our DSD Adventure
Location: The adventure takes place in the bay adjacent to our Puerta Ayora office, specifically at the Punta Estrada dive site.
Depth and Duration: We aim to dive up to a maximum depth of 12m for approximately 45 minutes. Your underwater time may vary based on your breathing pattern, so practice slow, steady breaths in advance.
Trip Schedule: We offer morning and afternoon trips, starting at 8 AM and 1 PM respectively. Each trip is led by an instructor, accommodating up to 4 participants assisted by 2 instructors.
Experience the Dive
Preparation Day: Join us at our dive center the day before your trip at 17.00 hrs. for detailed event information and gear selection (approximately 30 minutes).
Trip Day Itinerary:
Meeting Time: Arrive at our office at 08.00 hrs or 13.00 hrs to meet your dive instructor.
Boarding: Travel to the main dock to board our boat ‘NINA’ and depart for Punta Estrada.
Briefing: Upon arrival, receive a dive briefing, gear up, and relax briefly before the adventure begins (approx. 10 minutes).
Dive Time: Dive for approximately 45 minutes.
Post-Dive: Enjoy snacks and drinks onboard before returning dockside. Our goal is to have you back in town within three hours of departure.
Equipment and Services
Dive Gear Provided: Each client receives a 5-7mm wetsuit, SCUBA regulator with yoke, BCD, mask, fins, booties, hood (if needed), weight belt, and a 12-liter tank filled with compressed air.
Guidance: You’ll be accompanied by a bilingual instructor/guide throughout the trip.
